2025 Aeropress EM competition coffee!

Grown at 1800 meters above sea level in Las Chinas, San Agustín, Huila, this Pink Bourbon lot is the result of careful and experienced craftsmanship. The cherries are selectively picked at peak ripeness, sealed and pre-fermented, followed by a 36-hour dry fermentation. After several thorough washes, the coffee is dried on raised beds for 18 to 30 days, depending on sun exposure. The result is a vibrant and sweet cup, typical of the Pink Bourbon variety, with excellent clarity and structure.

Pastor Ordoñez is a third-generation coffee farmer with deep roots in San Agustín's coffee culture. Now 50 years old, he has been growing coffee since the age of 18, inheriting knowledge and passion from his parents who cultivated traditional varieties like Caturra and Typica. While farming has become more challenging over the years due to climate change and plant diseases, Pastor remains committed to quality and sustainability.

He played a key role in founding the Los Naranjos Association in 2000, helping small producers gain access to better markets and fair prices. After many years of contributing to blended lots, Pastor began selling his own micro-lots in 2018, finally receiving recognition for the quality of his work. Today, he dreams of building direct relationships with roasters and seeing his name known internationally — a goal we’re proud to support.
